Last Loves, Mummies and Daddies and Women of an Uncertain Age were a trilogy of plays for BBC Radio 4 about love, sex and age. Sally researched the plays with playwright Rony Robinson and wrote songs (sung by regional voices) and poems for them. Last Loves, starring Richard Wilson, won a Sony Award, a Mental Health and Media Award, a BBC Radio and Music Award, was shortlisted for the Tinniswood Award and was nominated by the BBC for the Prix Italia.
Sad, funny, bravely recognisable. Gillian Reynolds, Daily Telegraph
What really gave the play legs were the songs by Sally Goldsmith – wrung the heart.
